Gender, Animacy, and Children's Books | Charlie Pugsley
25 pages | self-published | 4.23.25
"Largely a meditation on an essay from Robin Wall Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass, this essay examines gender and people's treatment of nonhuman animals through the lenses of children's books, my experience with parenting in general, books for adults, and other perspectives. This is my seventh (or eighth?) zine, and my first since 2019, right before the pandemic. Anyway, I'm proud of it, and I hope you like it."
