"My 22-year-old friend Omar in Gaza created this beautiful zine to share his recipes and raise funds for his family. I’ve tried almost all of the recipes and they’re truly delicious, easily made vegan too. He is unable to find any work. But he created this recipe book with so much pride and wants to sell as many copies as he can.
Omar was studying computer sciences before the war, and still tries to complete his studies when he can access technology. He established a humanitarian refugee camp called Without Tears Camp in Jabalia, where he planted a small garden. He is always leading mutual aid actions, including distribution of cash to patients in the hospital, food distribution, and water delivery. He is now facing displacement again as attacks have drastically increased in the north.
The prices of food are staggering with a nearly 3 month siege. Please support my young friend while getting access to authentic delicious Palestinian recipes and stories."
